In this session, we will explore detoxing practices with a focus on the diaphragm and 3rd chakra. This region of the body is hugely connected to immunity, willpower, mental health, and is especially important during the transition from winter to spring. We will begin with a short meditation and sankalpa (intention setting), some gentle movement, break down the practices and body mechanics, dive into 2 specific exercises, and then wind down with some yoga nidra. I hope you can join us!
Learn the art of yogic breathing! As the 4th limb of yoga, pranayama, or control of the life airs of the body (a.k.a. breath work) is a subtle science which delivers incredible and sustainable experiences of mental clarity, focus, and resilience, along with an elevated mood of joy and peace. Traditionally, breath work was practiced as a cleansing technique to prepare the mind and body for deep levels of sustained meditation and higher levels of consciousness. Today, science is tapping the power of breath to combat virus and disease, balance the nervous system, and heal depression and anxiety as more and more people are recognizing the profound medicine of pranayama.
