Join Alexandra Moga and Kristin Gore for an evening of stress release, grounding, and sweet restoration amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday season!

Combining holotropic breathwork, deep rest, and the healing vibrations of a multi-instrumental sound bath, this experience is designed to clear away layers of emotional stagnation, heaviness of heart, and mental stress.

Students can expect:

  • Gentle movement

  • Guided meditation

  • Intention setting

  • Holotropic breathwork

  • Sound bath

  • Journaling

Details:
We’ll begin with a brief movement sequence to stretch and gently open the body followed by a guided meditation where you are invited to connect to an intention for your journey into the powerful Holotropic breath technique. Then, Alexandra will explain the practice and guide a deep dive into layers of sustained breathing and energetic release through freely expressed vocalization. All the while, Kristin will be setting a sonic landscape to aid in the collective movement of energy as you breathe, feel, and release.

Close out the practice by dropping into a restful savasana as Kristin delivers a soothing sound bath where you can ground into the new energy and float into bliss and ease, ending with some time for journaling, herbal tea, and sharing your experience.

What is holotropic breathwork?
Holotropic breath work is typically a long-format breath experience that combines sustained accelerated breathing, evocative music, and the openness to authentically express and release emotions through the body and voice. The breath acts as a bridge between the soma (physical tissues which store memories and past visceral experiences) and the subconscious mind to allow for a direct, lived experience of latent pain, fear, joy, light, or any range of the psyche's contents. Through the breath's impact, we are able to fully feel, and thus heal as each practitioner navigates the inner experience of contact, presence and release.

Each participant's experience will differ, and individual sessions will also be very different across time, spanning the full spectrum range of emotions and bodily sensations. Your experience is entirely yours to control, so if at any point you need to stop, rest, or leave the room, Alexandra will be there to safely assist and guide you as needed.

About Alexandra:

Alexandra’s yoga journey began in her childhood, when during summer breaks in Romania she would meditate alongside her aunt who taught her practices in forgiveness, focused breathing, and energetic visualization. In her teens she took her first yoga asana class and was hooked–finding the practice perfectly suited her passion for movement and dedication to spirituality. After four years of art history studies in Paris, she returned to New York where she immersed herself in the yogic path with over 10 years of study and teaching various communities since 2010.

Alexandra’s offerings are dynamic and uplifting, weaving together creative sequencing, self-guided alignment, mind-balancing pranayama, the science of Kundalini, and poetic prompts informed by the Bhakti path to invoke a deep inner connection. She co-designs and facilitates yoga trainings and workshops, specializing in yogic breathwork.

She bows to the many teachers and teachings who have guided her ever-closer to understanding herself, yoga, and what it means to serve the soul.

About Kristin:

Kristin grew up in Lake of the Ozarks, MO and is happiest outside in nature…especially when a boat and sunshine are involved. Her childhood consisted of all things dance and music, and she moved to Nashville in 2002 to pursue a music business degree at Belmont University. After graduating and starting a family, she discovered yoga and fell in love with its ability to transform the mind, body, and soul. She very quickly realized she had to share this powerful practice with others and became a certified yoga instructor through the esteemed Asheville Yoga Center. She has been teaching ever since, utilizing yoga to help her students lead more fulfilled, empowered, and loving lives, on and off the mat.
